ten2fame edition 1 : : Unusual Buildings.




Well, it is true that there is no limit or end-point for creativity. This post shows that how true the statement is.
Here I present some of the world's most amazing buildings.


#10 : The Bahá'í House of Worship-Lotus Temple, Delhi, India.



Built in- 1986 by an Iranian architect Fariborz Sahba.
Purpose- a place of worship, among the only 9 Bahá'í-n Houses of Worship all over the world.

#9 : Chapel in the Rock, Arizona, U.S.A.



Built in- 1956 by architect Marguerite Brunswig Staude.


#8 : The Cubic Houses, Rotterdam, Netherlands



Built in- around 1970s by architect Piet Blom.
Purpose- Residential. Blom was asked to make structures on pedestrian bridge, and thats when he came up with this structure.


#7 : Longaberger Basket building, Newark, Ohio, U.S.A.



Built in- 1997
Purpose- Office building, Dave Longaberger, the owner, wanted an exact replica of his company's most famous basket for his building.

#6 : Manchester Civil Justice Centre, Spinningfields, Manchester, England.



Built in- between 2003-2007 by Australian architect Denton Corker Marshall and Mott McDonald.
Purpose- Legal, houses courts.

#5 : Habitat 67, Montreal, Canada.



Built in- 1967 by architect Moshe Safdie.
Purpose- Housing Complex.

#4 : The National Theatre, Beijing, China.



Built in- 2007 built by french architect Paul Andreu.
Purpose- The National Centre for Performing arts.

Now, time for the 3..which are really very strange..and top this list-

#3 : The Dancing House, Prague, Czech Republic.



Built in- 1996 by architects Vlado Milunic (Czech) with Canadian counterpart Frank Gehry.
Purpose- Recreation Centre, with a famous French restaurant on the roof-top.

#2 : The Crooked House, Sopot, Poland.



Built in- 2003 by architect Szotynscy Zaleski.
Purpose- Shopping Center, the architect was highly inspired by children's illustrations.

#1 : Wonderworks Upside Down, Orlando, Florida, U.S.A.




Built by- WonderWorks group, many more are being planned and around 5 of these will be built by 2011.
Purpose- Amusement Park and museum, it features a full building with its down part up with even upside down lamp-posts and trees, giving it a complete up-rooted look.
